Privacy policy

Last updated:

This policy explains what personal data we process when you visit farmaciedantonio.com, why we do it and what rights you have. It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for visitors from the European Union, on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1Who is responsible

The controller is the Farmacie D'Antonio group, which runs the San Carlo, San Nicolao, D'Antonio and D'Antonio Maghetti pharmacies. For any privacy question, write to us at the address below.

2What data we process and why

  • Browsing the site. The site runs through Cloudflare's network, which processes your IP address, browser type and the pages you request in order to deliver them quickly and securely. This data is used for security and technical operation, not to identify you.
  • Contact form. Name, email, chosen pharmacy and message. We use them only to reply: the message is emailed directly to the pharmacy you chose and a copy is kept in our content management system. Please don't include detailed health information — for that, call us or visit the pharmacy.
  • Appointment booking. Name, email, phone, pharmacy, date and time and, if you give one, the reason. We use them only to manage the appointment: the booking is stored in our content management system, and you and the pharmacy each receive a confirmation email. The reason is optional: leave out any health details you'd rather tell us in person.
  • Newsletter. Your email address, to send you news, offers and advice. You can unsubscribe at any time by writing to us.
  • D'Antonio Club. First name, last name, date of birth, email, language and, if you choose, your consent to weekly emails. We use them to issue your personal card, check it at the till, manage the welcome discount (we record when and where it is used), wish you a happy birthday and, only with your consent, send you the weekly offers. The online-shop code is created in Stripe. If you save the card to Google Wallet, your name and card number are sent to Google; in Apple Wallet the card stays on your device.
  • Online purchases. The cart is stored only in your browser. Payment happens on Stripe's secure page: we receive the order details needed to fulfil it, but never see your full card details. Your name, delivery address and email are needed to ship the parcel; Swiss Post receives them only to deliver it.
  • WhatsApp. If you message us through the WhatsApp button, the conversation takes place on WhatsApp (Meta). The pharmacy sees your number and messages and uses them only to reply.
  • Statistics (only with your consent). Cloudflare Web Analytics measures, in aggregate, the pages visited, where the visit came from, the country and the device type. It uses no cookies and builds no individual profiles.
  • Maps (only with your consent). Pharmacy pages can show a Google Maps map. It loads only if you allow it; Google then receives your IP address and may set its own cookies.

4Legal bases

We process your data in line with the FADP. For visitors from the EU/EEA, the legal bases under the GDPR are: performance of a contract (online orders), your consent (statistics, maps, newsletter), our legitimate interest in running and protecting the site and answering your requests, and legal obligations (for example keeping accounting records).

5Who we share data with

We don't sell your data. We share it only with the relevant pharmacy in the group and with providers that process it on our behalf:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) – delivery network, security and statistics.
  • Resend (USA) – sending contact form and booking emails.
  • Stripe (Ireland/USA) – payment processing.
  • Apple and Google (Ireland/USA) – Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, only if you save the Club card.
  • Supabase (Zurich region) and our hosting provider – database and web server.
  • Google (Ireland/USA) – Google Maps, only with your consent.
  • WhatsApp / Meta (Ireland/USA) – only if you contact us via WhatsApp.

6Transfers abroad

Some providers are based in the United States or also process data there. In those cases the transfer relies on certification under the Swiss-U.S. / EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses recognised by the Swiss Federal Data Protection Commissioner and the European Commission.

7How long we keep data

  • Contact messages: as long as needed to handle your request, then deleted, unless needed to establish or defend a legal claim.
  • Appointments: up to 12 months after the appointment date, then deleted.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
  • D'Antonio Club: for as long as you are a member; on request we delete the card and its data. Consent to weekly emails lasts until you unsubscribe, with one click in any email or from your card page.
  • Orders: 10 years, as required for accounting records (art. 958f Swiss Code of Obligations).
  • Cookie choices: 12 months, after which we ask again.

8Your rights

You can ask us at any time for access to your data, to correct or delete it, to restrict its processing or to receive it in a common format, and you can object to processing. If you gave consent you can withdraw it whenever you like, without affecting processing carried out before then. Write to us at the address below.

You also have the right to complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, www.edoeb.admin.ch) or, if you live in the EU, to the data protection authority in your country.

9Security

The site always uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to data is limited to the people who need it for their work. Pharmacists are also bound by professional secrecy.
